A boy who has been missing from Oldham for over six years may have been spotted in France say Greater Manchester Police
The boy who would now be 17 was found in the town of Revel east of Toulouse early on Wednesday morning according to reports
Alex Batty then aged 11 went missing in 2017 left the UK on 30 September 2017 for a pre-agreed family holiday in Spain.
Officers in Oldham are in contact with French authorities to establish the authenticity of the report.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “This is a complex and long-running investigation, and we need to make further enquiries as well as putting appropriate safeguarding measures in place.”
