No one likes a Sunday cut short, so when the clocks go forward on March 31st, Novotel hotels around the UK will extend the check-out time by one hour – allowing guests 60 extra minutes to have a lazy breakfast, enjoy family time or catch up on their lost sleep.

This year, the start of British Summer Time also coincides with Mother’s Day, and as an extra treat, mothers will not only enjoy the extended check out time, but Novotel will also give mums the option of breakfast in bed when staying in a family room at participating hotels.

At more than 25 Novotels, guests will be able to check out at 1pm, rather than before the usual midday deadline. Mothers (and parents) who have booked a family room at a bed and breakfast rate will also be able to get their breakfast sent up to their rooms without a charge.

James Wheatcroft, VP Marketing Northern Europe at Accor, said:

“No mum wants to start Mother’s Day without a good night’s rest, that’s why we’re giving mums the time for a bit of a lie in and breakfast in bed. It’s the perfect way to mark the start of summer time and to spend quality time with the family.”
