Labour’s Nick Peel has been formally elected as the new leader of Bolton Council
He takes over from the Tories and follows the recent council elections in which Labour became the largest party
The make up of the council is now Labour 26, Conservatives 16, Lib Dem 6, Horwich &Blackrod first 6, One Kearsley 3, Farnworth & Kearsley First 2 and one independent
