Two trains have collided near Bedford with one person confirmed dead and over 30 people seriously injured

The front train is believed to have stopped owing to a safety system fault. The second train then collided with the back of the first train

The East of England Ambulance Service says the Bedford train crash resulted in at least 89 people being injured

11 people with very serious injuries,22 with serious injuries and 56 with minor injuries

It’s believed the 4.40pm train from Corby to St Pancras has crashed into the rear of the 3.50pm service from Nottingham to St Pancras.
