Following its closure in 2019, Manchester’s iconic bar, Hold Fast, is officially set to reopen on 29th November.

Tucked away beneath a former bowler hat factory on Newton Street in Manchester’s vibrant and bustling Northern Quarter, this nautical themed bar, which is a part of Selina Manchester, is inspired by the tales of Jules Verne, whose novels include the likes of Around The World in Eighty Days and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea.

Hold Fast will be the fifth venture that Selina manages in the Northern Quarter in Manchester, following Wilson’s Social, The Corner Boy, Wilson’s Den and Creatures Comedy Club.

The venue homes its own bespoke secret cinema room where visitors can lay back and relax in front of a cult classic, plus a range of retro Sega games, bound to let customers relish in their childhood memories. Resident DJ’s and open mic nights don’t fall short at Hold Fast, and those brave enough to take centre stage can get their hands on a free drink of their choice.

Head down into this sailor’s drinking quarter, dimly lit with ship lanterns and candles, before grabbing a pint from the wide selection of craft beers, or one of its 15 delectable cocktails which are available on the menu in this unique Northern Quarter venue. With its grand reopening on the horizon, Hold Fast will soon return as one of Manchester’s favourite underground escapes.
