Aspro Parks – one of the largest European operators of leisure parks and centres – has appointed top digital marketing agency theEword as it looks to bolster its position in the UK leisure market.

Aspro Parks in Europe operates across a broad spectrum of the leisure industry and covers multiple segments, which include water parks, aquariums, amusement parks and zoos.

Following the continued growth of Aspro’s visitor attractions, in 2016, which saw visitor numbers increase at its nine UK attractions, the company reached out for expertise to deliver an ambitious digital marketing campaign for its parks, including Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Planet Aquarium, Deep Sea World and Bristol Aquarium.

Online marketing specialist theEword was appointed following a competitive tender process and will lead a project encompassing content and influencer promotions, pay-per-click and social media advertising for the attraction.

Sue Elaiho, director at Aspro Parks, said: “As our portfolio and status in the industry continues to grow, it’s vital that we have unparalleled support during the implementation of new marketing campaigns – so it’s exciting to be working with such a renowned and respected agency.

“We’re committed to becoming a world leader in the leisure sector and, with their skill and personality, we’re certain that theEword can help us to achieve that objective.”

theEword is a Manchester-based agency with a growing portfolio of clients in the leisure and tourism sector.

The new campaign will be the second partnership between Aspro UK and theEword.

Daniel Nolan, managing director at theEword, said: “We have a proven track record for delivering great work in the leisure sector and it’s great that our expertise is attracting both new clients and those whom we’ve worked closely with in the past.

“We’re delighted to be assisting Aspro on another project and we’re confident that our campaign will help to put the attraction in the spotlight.”
