This year Manchester’s historic Spanish & Portuguese synagogue turns 150 years old

To mark this special year, Manchester’s Jewish Museum will organise a range of events, from live performances to family-friendly activities and workshops, exploring Sephardi culture and history.

“This anniversary is a very special moment for us. It’s an opportunity to celebrate 150 years of people coming together on our site and a chance for us to thank all of the incredible people who have made it possible over the years and to share that with our amazing communities.” says the organisation

Among the events are is a concert by 10cc’s Graham Gouldman on the 15th Feb

The culmination of the anniversary celebrations will take place in May 2024 during a Museum Open Day, when they will bury/hide their new time capsule.
