Didsbury based deli wants to share the love this Valentine’s Day with a selection of platters made for lovers
A Taste of Honey, beloved Didsbury based Deli on Burton Road, has unveiled a range Valentine’s Day sharing platters, full of aphrodisiac qualities.
Available for collection, the Valentine’s Day platters are made to order, crafted from locally sourced ingredients, providing loving soul food that comforts and nourishes, the perfect escape for a Valentine’s duvet day or at-home picnic.
With three platters from which to choose, lovers can indulge in a savoury or sweet option of the Lockdown Lovers Aphrodisiac Board, or perfect for breakfast in bed, the Dirty Stop Out Breakfast Platter.
The savoury Lockdown Lovers Aphrodisiac Board, includes a goats cheese, walnut and fig salad with honey dressing, pan fried asparagus, KFC cauliflower, caramelised shallots, charred baby courgettes, salt baked parsnips and a pan fried salmon fillet with a saffron hollandaise. The perfect at home romantic dinner for two. A vegan option is also available on request. Priced at £30 and suitable for two.
Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy the dessert version of the Lockdown Lovers Aphrodisiac Board, designed to get hands on with. Indulge in next level truffle brownies, cherry pie with homemade meringue topping, salted caramel and mars bar bread and butter pudding, Little Moons cookie dough mochi and homemade doughnuts with raspberry coulis and chocolate.
Known as the most important meal of the day, those looking for a local breakfast option, can indulge in the ‘Dirty Stop Out Breakfast Platter’, consisting of a full english breakfast with locally sourced ingredients.
The Lockdown Lovers Aphrodisiac Board is available for collection now from A Taste of Honey, pre-orders must be made by calling 0161 434 5217. Priced at £30 for the savoury option and £25 for sweet, with both for £50. The Dirty Stop Out Breakfast Platter is £25 and also available for collection.
The deli, open seven days a week provides homemade and locally sourced produce to the Didsbury area, including homemade dishes such as cakes, scotch eggs, pies and pastries, meals for the family with whole rotisserie chicken suppers, as well as pantry essentials such as eggs, milk and veg from local suppliers.
A Taste of Honey is also a part of EatWell which helps provide meals and access to fresh produce and essential goods to families with children in local hospitals, those living with food poverty, women seeking refuge, homeless people and frontline NHS workers.
