Oh, crap! Today started just where yesterday ended so I was in a high state of irritation and working away like a busy bee.

My emails, texts, Skypes and phone were pinging away both in work and at home including a whole load of emails around changing my amazing June holiday to Saint Lucia to some point next year. It looks like the holiday company are being a bit troublesome but, thankfully, one of my girlie friends is sorting it out. I’m just hoping that we will be out of lockdown by then and will actually be able to travel – it seems like it is going on forever at the moment.

I finally finally finally managed to get my repeat prescription after three weeks of debacle between the chemist and the doctors. I know the NHS is under a huge amount of strain at the moment and they are doing an amazing job but the levels of inefficiency and duplication are massive.

When I was at the chemist, I asked if they had any face masks. The pharmacist practically laughed in my face as they didn’t have any and they are finding it difficult to get any in stock. If we are encouraged to start wearing masks when we go out – where the hell are we going to get them from?

My day took a turn for the better when the postman dropped off some gorgeous white flowers from one of my lovely friends. I’ve just realised I refer to all my friends as “lovely”. Note to self: find some better adjectives! At that point, my stress levels went through the floor and I breathed again. They smell like spring and brightened the room and my spirit all at the same time.

I saw something on the news about “St Thomas’ Hospital” that made me chuckle. I can’t believe somebody had gone to the trouble of sticking a big apostrophe on the side of the building – twice – when it’s not needed. The hospital doesn’t belong to St Thomas, well, it might do but I don’t think so! Assuming it is just descriptive, no apostrophe is needed!

The other thing that made me giggle today was hearing for the first time the word “Covidiot”! It refers to the idiots that are still going out and still doing the things that we have been told not to in lockdown. I love that phrase – who ever made it up is a genius.

My List: Nothing – Just sleep!

My Lowlight: Talking to an old colleague and finding out they are recovering from COVID-19 and hearing first-hand how absolutely awful this virus is. Please take care everyone.

My Highlight: Realising that Captain Tom hadn’t died but was raising an outstanding and unbelievable amount of money for the NHS. He is an inspiration to us all.

My Anxiety Level: Started Medium and dipped to Low after I’d opened my flowers.
