Legendary US brand Phenix Salon Suites today launches its first UK venue in Manchester city centre, creating a new home for hair and beauty in the north.
The first of its kind in the UK, Phenix Salon Suites is a flexible workplace for hair and beauty professionals, offering boutique studios where creatives can run their own businesses in their very own intimate salon spaces at the new location at Number One Deansgate.
Already a huge hit in the USA, with over 300 locations and partners including LL Cool J, over 50% of the 29 studios in Manchester have been leased and tenants include hair stylists, massage therapists, nail techs, skincare professionals and makeup artists.
Guests to the new space will enter the luxury lobby just off Deansgate, and as they climb the stairs will be transported to a hair and beauty haven. Down the spa-like corridor, tenants include Andrew Trott-Barn with byATB…, Joseph Snee at Joseph Patrick Hair, Ashley Longmore at Moloko Hair, pedicurist Yulia Hamilton, hair extension specialist Savana, and many more.
Each unit has been totally personalised by its new tenants, with each small business owner given the option to decorate or brand it however they wish to create their very own space. The new tenants in Manchester have already made the most of this, and the new venue already features a barbershop themed around a football stadium, with a fake grass floor, red leather stadium seats, and a huge football mural. Celebrity hairdresser Andrew Trott-Barn has also personalised his double window corner plot with bespoke scissor patterned wallpaper, plush velvet seating, and decor inspired by his legendary Mirror Ball. Also on display is colourful Bearded Brutes artwork by British photographer Mark Leeming, which features Andrew as Billy Balenciaga.
Hairdressers and barbers will be provided with a backwash, styling chair and hair trolley, while nail artists or beauty therapists will be offered sink units and storage trolleys. Each tenant will also have access to a break room / kitchen space, as well as an on-site laundry room with FREE use of commercial equipment for fast washing and drying.
Leases operate month-to-month, with no long term contracts to enable tenants to work with flexibility. Hair and beauty professionals leasing a space in Phenix’s first UK location can focus on growing their client base, network, skills, and income all in a professional setting.
