Le Social will celebrate its two-year anniversary with Le Social Summer Party on Saturday 6th August 2022 at Nell’s Kampus.

Kicking off at 4pm and running till late, the Summer Party will ring in the anniversary in true Le Social style. Presenting an incredible line-up of Manchester’s best selectors, including the city’s favourite house and disco collective Supernature, the queer pop and dance gurus of Love Party, and the sunny vibes of Friends in Common. Closing off the night are Le Social DJs favourite rising stars Sabrina b2b Roisin, with a genre bending set of house, techno and more.

Nell’s NYC slice bar will also be on the deck all day, along with its famous 14” and huge 22”
pizzas. To be washed down with wine from Le Social’s pop-up bar, serving all the party sippers – by the glass or by the bottle, some fancy, some cheap! No need for tickets, the party is free and inclusive for all. No knobs no snobs, simply turn up as you are, prepared for a good old boogie!

Le Social has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2020’s lockdown, where Jérôme Boullier refers to its operations as that of a wine ‘milkman’ style delivery service. Simply dropping bottles of wine off to his friends on his bike for a small fee, to make money for charity.

With a positive reception for his picks in wines with social and sustainable credentials, that summer saw Le Social launch an online shop, showcasing a unique selection of never- seen-in-Manchester-before bottles. Before finding a home for a dedicated natural wine shop at independent business and creative hub, Pollard Yard.

Since inception, Le Social has interweaved itself within Manchester’s community of
independents championing local and continental gastronomy. The early days saw partnerships with Italian food vendors like Paradiso Tiramisu, Lupo Café Italiano and Ornella’s Kitchen to deliver exciting food and wine pairings right to peoples’ doorstep during lockdown. Alongside this, they started supplying the best organic and biodynamic wines to General Store, Butcher’s Quarter, Bernie’s Grocery, Volta Didsbury to name a few.

Last year Le Social caught the attention of Manchester’s favourite hospitality destinations and started stocking their goods at the likes of Feel Good Club to Common, Nell’s and Escape to Freight Island. Summer 2021 saw Le Social undertake a two-month residency at Kampus, which gave birth to their legendary parties. Nights to remember with CHIC, Love Party, Supernature, RNB and Kiss Me Again set the tone for their ‘no knobs no snobs’ inclusive discos.

Collaborations with Rice Over Everything, Tine, Shindigger, KIOSK, Sustainable Fashion Party also took place at their Kampus home. Hosting a Manchester Pride Weekender was a highlight, with a joint effort of raising over £2600 in donations for LGBTQIA+ charities. That year came to a close with their participation to Manchester Food And Drink Festival, a Wine & Dine at Heaton Moor acclaimed restaurant, The Moor, to the launch of Derek Jarman’s PROTEST! exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery and hosting a party for Native/Ducie Street Warehouse.

2022 kickstarted with the opening of Le Social’s very own wine bar at their Pollard Yard home.

The smallest wine bar in the city, full of character and quirk, began serving up an ever-changing menu of the finest wines rooted in cultural heritage and geographical identity. To be paired with a classic selection of continental plates, created from responsibly sourced ingredients, and supporting a community of independent farmers and producers. Every first Thursday of the month has been dedicated to hosting an educational Wine Tasting Night – presenting the latest wine discoveries and new exciting producers.

Continuing to elevate and support Manchester’s rich independent scene of creatives, led to
the establishment of Le Social & Friends – a spring and summer programme of city-wide
collaborative events celebrating art, music, food and wine. The events included Caroline
Dowsett and Ben Vulliamy’s debut collaborative exhibition MOTHER, parties at Common NQ,
Supper Clubs with The Little Pasta Company, Bread Flower, Farm & Fish Monton and even
more to be announced.

On the two-year anniversary, Jérôme said, “We are so proud to be part of a thriving food, wine and entertainment scene here in Manchester, and are so grateful for the support we’ve received from fellow independents in our mission to advocate for a more inclusive and sustainable wine world. As a thank you to everyone who has supported Le Social over the past two years, we’d love for you to join us whilst we do what we do best – sharing some wine and throw a huge party!

Le Social is all about spending quality time with friends and loved ones while also meeting
new people who share similar interests for food, wine, art and values around sustainability and inclusivity. May it be around a glass of wine and a bite at our tasting events or dancing at one of our parties. We’ve proudly collaborated with some amazing entrepreneurs and artists this year at our Pollard Yard home, but the next step for Le Social will be to soon find a more permanent space for our community to meet week after week.”

Le Social will turn two on the 6th August, head to Nell’s at Kampus from 4pm to celebrate.
