On the fourth day of Christmas (Saturday 28th December) Bop Local will be celebrating the festive season with a whopping party at Chorlton Irish Club!

It will be a night of non-stop, top tunes via a fab selection of DJs including Bop Local residents, Mark Smith and Tom O’Toole, plus Martin Holland (Soul Town/Club Zero) and ace warm-up DJ Disco Ball Dave (Tampopo boss, Dave Fox).

Keeping with Bop Local tradition, there will be a special guest DJ for the night, Jeff Hordley (Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle) with his DJ side-kick Nev Cottee.

Jeff has been DJing for many years at clubs in Manchester and Leeds, having been one of the residents at South nightclub from 1995-2003. He has even done a stint of DJing at the British Soap Awards!

Jeff is a huge music fan across all genres, so expect anything from Northern Soul to reggae to funk with a few favourite Manchester tunes thrown in. Jeff went down a storm when he DJed at Bop Local in the early days (both in Chorlton and Heaton Moor) so it will be great to welcome him back.

Jeff said, “I’m really looking forward to a great night at Bop Local ~ it’s always a lot of fun, with a crowd who are really knowledgeable about their music and up for dancing all night.”

Previous Bop Local special guest DJs have included; Maxine Peake, Peter Hook, Graeme Park and Clint Boon.

There will be drink offers all night at Chorlton Irish Club. Doors open at 20:30. Bar and music till 02:00.

Tickets are £8 in advance online here. Tickets will be £10 on the door.
