This February half term leave the TV and games consoles behind and instead grab your family to climb aboard at East Lancashire Railway for a journey they will never forget.

On the 20th February, little adventurers can join an eccentric expedition on a time-travelling steam train to meet with a herd of adorable baby dinosaurs. Get up close with the cute cretaceous critters and maybe even give the T-Rex a tickle under the chin!

The interactive adventure will see visitors join expert rex wranglers and triceratops tamers on a steam train ride, and take part in a host of entertaining activities to complete the story.

On the 21st February, trainee witches and wizards can embark on a magical adventure with the East Lancashire Railway Wizard Academy Express.

The spellbinding train ride will let youngsters realise their dreams of boarding a train and steaming off through the stunning 12-mile Irwell Valley tracks to magic school.

On the magical journey, they will be joined by a magical cast of wacky warlocks and wild witches as they brush up on broomstick flying, work on wand-waving and practice potions. While keeping an eye out for the evil enchanters hoping to make off with one of the schools prized magical artefacts.

East Lancashire Railway is only 30 minutes by Manchester from the tram and less than three hours from London.

The Dinky Dino Adventure departs at various times from Bury Bolton Street Station on Thursday 20th February. Tickets cost £15 per adult and £10.50 per child.

The Wizarding Adventure departs at various times from Bury Bolton Street Station on Friday 21st February. Tickets cost £15 per adult and £10.50 per child.
