Police investigating the armed robbery of a disabled elderly man in Radcliffe have now released images.

Three offenders armed with baseball bats and wearing balaclavas forced the front door open and entered the 75-year-old’s home on the evening of the 5th August on Gatefield Close.

The elderly man was badly beaten and taken to hospital with serious injuries including broken ribs, a broken ankle and a head injury.

A neighbour who was visiting the elderly man at the time of the robbery was also injured and required hospital treatment for a broken collar bone.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Kelly of GMP’s Bury Borough, said: “We have released these images to show the extent of the damage that was done to the victims of this brutal attack.

“Last week we released images of a man we wish to speak to in connection with the offence and we are still urging anyone that recognises the man or the car to get in touch with us.
