Cheshire Police are looking for an prisoner with links to Manchester who has absconded from a open prison in Warrington

Daniel Buckley was last seen at HMP Thorn Cross in Appleton on the morning of Saturday 30 May.

Officers are currently carrying out a number of enquiries in a bid to trace the 37-year-old, and they are urging anyone with information as to his whereabouts to get in touch.

He is described as 5’ 10” tall, of a medium build, with dark hair, and was wearing a grey t-shirt, grey jacket, black joggers, grey Nike trainers and was carrying a white shopping bag.

Buckley is known to have links to the Manchester area, specifically Failsworth and Openshaw, as well as Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Daniel Buckley of Hulmes Road, Newton Heath was jailed for 16 years and 4 months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine, conspiracy to supply amphetamine, entering into or becoming concerned in a money laundering arrangement and possessing amphetamine with intent to supply.

He was part of a group of three who were capable of supplying multi-kilos of class A drugs on a weekly basis, with purchases ranging from £35,000 to £42,000 per kilogram.
