Chris Green has been ruled out of the remainder of his overseas spell with Lancashire Cricket this summer after suffering a fractured thumb in last Friday’s Vitality Blast match against Leicestershire Foxes.

The injury means Green will miss the remainder of the Vitality Blast campaign, as well as Lancashire’s upcoming Rothesay County Championship fixtures.

Lancashire Cricket can also confirm that Green has signed a deal to return to the Club in 2027, when the Australian all-rounder will spend a fourth summer at Emirates Old Trafford.

Chris Green said: “I am gutted to be ending my stint at Lancashire earlier than planned this summer due to injury.

“I will be watching on and supporting the boys all the way, starting with a big Roses clash at Headingley tomorrow night.

“I am grateful to the Club for their support, and I am delighted that I will be back at Emirates Old Trafford in 2027. See you all soon!”
