As it re-opens with the lifting of lockdown, Hotel Brooklyn, Manchester wants to say THANK YOU to Cottonopolis’ heros, heroines and helpers and is inviting nominations for places at the table for some of the many people whose front-line dedication helped to keep the city through the pandemic.

The spoiling event will take place on July 4th – a complimentary cocktail-bubbles reception and 3-course dinner in Brooklyn Heights their 9th floor Banqueting room  – a night of great food, drink, cocktails and live music for the first time for many in over a year.

The guys and dolls are saying, “We want to know about Manchester’s local Covid heros and heroines and invite them an event designed to thank and celebrate their efforts.”

Nominations are now open – for your local postie or milk delivery, supermarket shelf-stacker, hospital consultant or cleaner.

Does your neighbourhood Bobby deserve a pat on the back? Did your butcher go the extra mile? Do you live next to an ambulance driver who worked back-to-back shifts?  Or do you have a neighbour who put their community first? Pandemic helpers, volunteers, key and essential workers, our emergency services and those in the public sector can all be nominated: individually, in couples or even teams.

Nominations should be emailed to info@hotelbrooklyn.co.uk: Please share your story and tell us why you / they deserve a seat at the table. Closing date is 21 June 2021. All nominations will be entered into a ballot and diners will be contacted by June 30 2021.

July 4th is a day of celebration in the US and the date last year when Hotel announced its competition to win a holiday to New York.

The Hotel launched in February 2020 only to close with the first lockdown – reopening for a short while last summer before closing again.  Hard hit though it has been, it recognises that its trials are not a patch on those of the great people of Manchester  – so the hotel team are planning a bash to celebrate the resilience of Mancunia and the amazing dedication of Mancunians.

This is how to really say ‘Thank you’ in style.
