The heated canopy in the courtyard outside The Stables Café in Manchester’s Heaton Park is back for winter 2022, providing festive treats throughout the day.
It’s a perfect pitstop during your winter walk. The canopy extends from the back to the front of The Stables, creating a mini-Christmas market featuring local food and drink vendors.
The Life Cafés & Resorts team that operate Heaton Park’s popular Lakeside Dining Domes and Heaton Park Cafés is also heading up the catering in the courtyard. Their Chef team is led by award-winning chef Chris Holland, ex-contestant of BBC show, Great British Menu.
Visitors can choose from a range of hearty seasonal dishes including pulled pork sandwiches. Food stalls at The Stables courtyard include a classic airstream serving vegan scotch eggs and homemade sausage rolls. There will also be loaded pasta dishes, such as a rich beef bolognese with a plant-based version too. A variety of stone-baked pizzas will be served from a vintage converted horsebox.
Warming festive drinks such as mulled wine and luxury hot chocolates will be available from the bar, as well as beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks for all the family.
The canopy and the heat lamps will ensure that guests are protected from the elements come rain or shine, with Christmas music and decorations inside adding to the cosy ambience.
The Stables is open throughout the festive period, with local market traders, wreath making and live music filling the courtyard on weekends. The Stables will be closed on Christmas Day.
By night, the experience is open as part of this year’s Lightopia festival, open to the public from Thursday 24th November until Monday 2nd January.
