It’s time for kids up and down the country to let their creative juices flow, as Happy Linen Company are tasking the nation’s children with creating a fun and festive design for a new Christmas product.

The competition, run in partnership with the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, gives children the opportunity to design Happy Linen Company’s 2022 Christmas charity product.

No matter if their design has a traditionally festive appearance or is completely contemporary and outside the box, every budding artist is welcome to get involved and put forward their own unique and individual style.

The children of the 28,000-hospital staff, along with children currently admitted to the hospital, will all also be invited to enter the competition, helping to add some much-needed Christmas cheer this festive season.

The lucky winner will have their design featured on next year’s Happy Linen Company charity product, with all profits from this product being donated to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The winner will also receive a delightful bedding set of their choice from Happy Linen Company’s extensive range of kid’s bedding on announcement of winning the competition, along with the first product that they have designed.

Entries can be submitted to the Happy Linen Company via email, or shared via Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. All details are available on Happy Linen’s website.

This is the latest joint venture between Happy Linen Company and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity. The partnership began back in January of this year, with half of all proceeds from Happy Linen’s Giving Back initiative donated to the Children’s Hospital.

The community-minded Giving Back campaign was started by Happy Linen Company to help give back to the local community. With the sale of every Happy Linen bedding set, 25p is donated to local charities and community initiatives, helping to spread a little bit of happiness. For those looking to support the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity while spreading Christmas cheer this year, the Santa & Friends bedding set is currently available to purchase online, with 100% of the profits going towards the RMCH Charity.

Mark G, Head of Procurement at Happy Linen Company, comments, “We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, and to get the great British public involved in the charity drive too – especially at Christmas time when most look to be extra giving and generous.

This competition is not only a great way for children to express their creativity, but it is also an opportunity to help a truly worthy charity that helps so many families in the Manchester area and beyond. We are really looking forward to receiving the entries and bringing one of the designs to life for next Christmas.”

Rachel Laycock, Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, said, “The Giving Back campaign is a great initiative from Happy Linen Company – we’re delighted to collaborate with a local business during the festive period. This exciting Christmas competition will not only encourage children across the country, including our own patients, to be creative but also take part in fundraising activities. We can’t wait to see all the entries as well as the final winning design and product!

We’re also grateful that Happy Linen Company are donating 100% of profits from every sale of their Santa and Friends bedding set.”
