Grill on New York Street presents its new Meet the Maker event, with Didsbury Gin taking to the stage – or in this case the bar – for an evening of cocktails paired with a three-course meal, on Thursday 26th September, at 7pm.
For one night only, Liam and Mark, co-founders of one of Dragon’s Den’s successful pitches, bring their south Manchester gin to Grill on New York Street. Sharing the journey of Didsbury Gin so far, the dedicated team will provide samples of the bright, vibrant and zesty gin to taste neat, plus three curated cocktails.
The bespoke menu includes the Didsbury Pink Lady, perfect for those who love a citrusy concoction – a combination of Didsbury Gin, grapefruit liqueur, lemon and grapefruit juice, Gomme syrup, grapefruit bitters and egg white. For something fruitier and more delicate, the Clover Club will hit the spot – Didsbury Raspberry and Elderflower Gin, lemon juice, Lillet Blanc, foaming bitters and finished with fresh raspberries. Whilst the Perfect Serve G&T is a simple and refreshing blend of Didsbury Gin and tonic served with red grapefruit and lemon thyme.
Grill on New York Street’s expert team will be cooking up a three-course meal to pair with the cocktail menu. Guests can choose from classics from its Grill inspired menu, including chicken liver parfait, Piri Piri calamari and torched red pepper houmous with crudités for starters. Blackhouse burger with all the toppings, – mature cheddar, shredded lettuce, tomato, tomato relish – halloumi and vegetable kebab with jewelled cous cous cous and Cholula hot sauce, and chicken fajitas with salsa, guacamole, sour cream on a sizzling plate of peppers and onions are just some of the mains to choose from. Dessert options include timeless favourites, sticky toffee pudding, baked apple and rhubarb charlotte and Eton mess.
Grill on New York Street, situated behind Piccadilly Gardens on New York Street, is a steakhouse institution and an established Manchester favourite, known for its premium steaks, buzzing bar, cocktails, al-fresco dining, and seasonally inspired menus.
