England Manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed that Man City’s Phil Foden and Man United’s Mason Greenwood have broken quarantine rules in Iceland.

The pair will travel separately back from Nations League duty .

Southgate said he is still working his way through the facts before he decides any further action against the pair, and he says “nobody from outside our party has been into the areas of the hotel we are occupying”.

There have been reports that the pair had invited girls into the hotel in which they were staying during England’s fixture against Iceland over the weekend.

The allegations were made in an Icelandic newspaper which said that the players were given an exemption from the country’s quarantine rules and were not to meet anyone outside of their own team members outside of the field and were only allowed to go to practices and games.
