All flood alerts have now been removed across Greater Manchester this lunchtime except one covering the River Douglas in Wigan

Nine were in place earlier covering sections of the Irwell and the Mersey but these have now been lifted

The alerts followed yesterday’s torrential rain throughout the region

The weather is far better today with clear skies but according to our friends at @chadwesther Cloud will bubble up and a shower can’t be ruled out into the afternoon. Feeling much cooler than late, especially in the breeze.

Localised ground-frost overnight, especially rurally.
