Finance giant Together has taken the helm as Title Sponsor of the inaugural Northern Property Raceday at Chester Racecourse.

The specialist lender has put its name to the first of what is widely expected to become the annual summer social for the region’s property industry – with the inaugural raceday staged at the world’s oldest racecourse on Friday 12 July

The already-sold-out Together Northern Property Raceday event held at The Together Ladies & Gents Evening, will welcome property industry experts from right across the north of the UK for a full evening of racing and celebrations.

The event, also in partnership with Knights plc, Amber Energy and Manchester-based communications agency Roland Dransfield, has been created to celebrate the continuing growth of the property sector in the region – particularly in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Cheshire – and is being attended by the real estate sector’s brightest lights.

Together provides specialist mortgages and loans, secured against property, for a range of customers from SMEs and high net worth clients to large businesses, and has a current loan book of about £3.47 billion.

Chris Baguley, Commercial managing Director at Together, said: “We are delighted to be the headline sponsor of the Northern Property Raceday next month.

“We have had a long-standing relationship with Chester Racecourse over a number of years, having taken banking and professional sector partners to numerous corporate events there. Every time, we’ve been impressed with the excellent facilities and the professionalism of the racecourse staff.

“That’s why we seized this sponsorship opportunity. It’s a fantastic way of supporting this historic racecourse while promoting our own hugely successful business. We see it as a win-win situation.”

Chester Race Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Richard Thomas, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Together as Title Sponsor of the inaugural Northern Property Raceday at Chester Racecourse. We see them as the perfect commercial match for this event.

“We launched the Northern Property Raceday because we want to celebrate and provide a platform for the real estate sector and its supply chain; showcasing the success of the sector in the region whilst also providing a platform for meaningful networking in an exclusive and prestigious environment.

“We have seen huge interest from the property sector throughout the region in this event. Stakeholders include developers, agents, construction companies, chartered surveyors, architects, law firms, insurance companies and financial institutions.

“The hope is that, eventually, the Chester Racecourse Northern Property Raceday will become one of the biggest and most popular networking events on the northern property industry calendar.”

On Friday July 12, the day begins with a 4pm Champagne reception on the Festival Village Lawn.

Delegates on the day will be hosted in an exclusive hospitality area perfect for networking, hosting clients and enjoying an evening’s racing.

The Together Northern Property Raceday, which runs from 4pm – 9.45pm, will feature seven horse races including The Together Commerical Finance Handicap Stakes, The ESL Group Nursery Stakes and The Eurogold Fillies’ Handicap Stakes.
