Part theatre, part video game, part escape room, The Lucky Ones is a week-long digital experience that comes via your phone, your laptop and your letterbox.
The Lucky Ones is presented by innovative theatre company Riptide in partnership with Oldham Coliseum Theatre from Saturday 20 – Friday 26 March (tickets must be booked by Friday 12 March).
Audiences are invited to delve into an immersive adventure that augments your surroundings, and where you are the main character. First contact will be made on Saturday 20 March and from there audiences will have parts of the narrative fed to them throughout the week. There are different journeys to be had based on your decisions.
There are no strict time commitments as the experience is designed to work alongside whatever audiences have on. It is also 100% distanced, designed with lockdown restrictions in mind. There are options to play individually, or as part of a team of up to four players.
Riptide create unique immersive and interactive experiences that transport audiences to another world. Since 2013 they have been creating work that places the audiences at the heart of the experience, combining innovative storytelling with digital technologies. They don’t just break the fourth wall, they entirely demolish the other three walls too.
The Lucky Ones runs from Saturday 20 – Friday 26 March. Tickets must be booked by Friday 12 March, and a pre-show questionnaire must be completed by Wednesday 17 March.
