The Ex Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has been found not guilty at Chester Crown Court of one count rape and one of attempted rape
When the verdict was announced Mendy wept as he was cleared following a retrial.
He had been accused of the offences following lockdown breaking parties at his Cheshire House

‘This is the second time that Mr Mendy has been tried and found not guilty by a jury. He is delighted that both juries reached the correct verdicts.
