Hundreds of dead fish have been washing up around Salford Quays over the past 24 hours and the Environmental Agency believes it is down to the adverse weather conditions

People have been posting pictures and video across social media showing dead fish floating in the water with some people suggesting it is down to sewage pollution

However the Environmental Agency say that

““We believe that this is an event caused by high temperatures and low atmospheric pressure as a result of thunder storms, causing low dissolved oxygen levels.”
