They say Lightning doesn’t strike twice, but for Usain Bolt anything’s possible.

The world’s fastest man returned for a second visit to Lane7 in as many months this weekend showing the new-look boutique bowling alley is the place to be by hiring out his own pimped-up playgroup for the evening.

Lane7 is housed in the former All-Star Lanes building on Great Northern, Deansgate, but that’s where the similarities between ASL and Lane 7 end.

After opening its doors during the lockdown, Lane7 have just unveiled their brand new ‘Red Room’ just in time for the festive season. Usain, or UGO according to his bowling scorecard, hiredLane7’s signature ‘Red Room’ (that staff has affectionally nicknamed the Bolt Vault), the world-record holder had access to a private bar, pool table, arcades, a brand-new UV Red Ping Pong table, and two neon lanes.

If red isn’t your colour, Lane7 has also opened their new Graffiti lanes (perfect for groups of 6-15 people), complete with its own ‘Stripes and Strikes’ fridge meaning you can avoid and Christmas queues and crack on with your games.

Lauren Dale, Lane 7’s Head of Sales and Business Development, said, “Why have standard Christmas lights when you can have stunning UV or Neon. Usain booking twice in consecutive trips to Manchester shows just how stunning our transformation is. We hope Manchester love is as much as Mr Bolt”

But that isn’t the only ‘glow-up’ thanks to Lane 7’s new graffiti karaoke rooms which comfortably fit up to 14 people – perfect for Christmas carols, Taylor Swift’s latest album or any song that comes to mind.

And if you fancy visiting Lane7, there are still some Christmas dates available for booths, ball games or bowling – but be as quick as Usain, as activities are filling fast.

For festive bookings, visit lane7.co.uk and for groups above 10, guests should email l.dale@lane7.co.uk.
