Manchester will be showcasing its own finest chefs on Saturday 25 June as the city is treated to an array of fabulous foodie attractions. With names to be announced in the coming weeks, the cream of Manchester’s food scene will be giving free demonstrations of their finest offerings.

Kelly Hurst, Centre Manager at Lowry Outlet, said: “Nadiya captured the hearts of the nation on Great British Bake Off and we’re thrilled to have her on board for this year’s Food Festival along with much-loved sauce entrepreneur Levi Roots.

“We’re excited to be showcasing our own region’s finest talent as well. Manchester is well-known for its fabulous chefs and foodie following and there’s some great talent out there making waves on the Manchester scene.”

All cookery demonstrations will offer expert tips and insider recipe ideas before an opportunity to meet the stars, have books signed and pose for photos. They’ll take place in the ‘Aga Rangemaster Cookery Theatre’, a covered marquee located on the Plaza between the Lowry Outlet and Lowry Theatre, MediaCityUK. The venue is fully accessible for disabled visitors.

Young foodie fans will be able to try their hand in the Kids Cookery Zone, where they will get hands-on guided cooking sessions for children at the award-winning Kids Cookery School, plus food-themed activities and games to play.

Kelly added: “This is one of our biggest events of the year and promises to be packed with fun, food and fabulous entertainment. Tickets for the cookery demonstrations are limited so we always encourage people to book early to avoid disappointment.”
