Castle Fine Art, the UK’s leading group of retail art galleries, has launched its newest venture on Manchester’s King Street, the city’s luxury shopping destination.

After four months of renovation works, the gallery has officially opened to the public.

As Castle Fine Art’s flagship gallery for the north, the newest addition to the city’s art scene sees contemporary meet classic in a gallery setting.

The historic, Grade II listed building is home to 4,000 sq ft of retail space over two floors, with traditional features mixed with quirky design elements – a nod to the innovative and original offering Castle Fine Art has come to be known for.

A state of the art lighting system complements the wide range of art work on display, while two specially designed viewing rooms have been created to make customers feel as at ease as they would in their own home.

Taking inspiration from leading fashion brands, window-shoppers can expect to see eye-catching pop up displays featuring new work from today’s most exciting artists.

Ian Weatherby-Blythe, Managing Director of Castle Fine Art, said:

“In its 20 year history, Castle Fine Art has been instrumental in making great art accessible – bringing work from today’s finest contemporary artists to the high street.

“As the business grows we continue to evolve with our newest gallery on King Street set to redefine the way customers experience, view and buy art.

“Visitors to the gallery can expect a welcoming environment to enjoy art and an exciting programme of exhibitions and events all year round.”

Enjoying two decades at the top of its industry, Castle Fine Art has grown exponentially to meet customer demand – today, it boasts a nationwide network of 35 galleries with avid collectors all over the world.

Consistently produced to the highest quality, every piece of art hanging on Castle Fine Art’s walls is made by Washington Green, the UK’s leading fine art publisher.

Since its launch in 1986, Washington Green has specialised in publishing original works and limited edition collections from a range of innovative artists. The artists represented by the company are diverse in subject matter but all share the unique position of being the finest in their field.

In 2005 Washington Green officially acquired Castle Fine Art, joining forces to create a powerhouse of contemporary art which names artists such as Bob Dylan, Ronnie Wood, Romero Britto, Raphael Mazzucco and Stuart McAlpine Miller among those it represents.
