Last Saturday saw  BT and charity Join In present a Riding for the Disabled equestrian club with a cheque for £1,000 to help improve their facilities and grow their club.

Greater Manchester RDA are a community equestrian club that relies on the commitment and dedication of volunteers in order to support its riders and members. The group plan to use the prize money to improve facilities at the club and improve accessibility for it’s members.
BT are pioneers in employee volunteering and work to support and encourage a culture of volunteering within their staff. BT are the founding partners of sports volunteering charity Join In, a charity that works to connect volunteers with community sports clubs and groups.

Join In works with sports clubs across the country to help build volunteering and subsequently participation. As part of their partnership with the charity, BT offered the opportunity for community sports clubs to win £1000, to help transform and build their club.

Join In’s CEO, Rebecca Birkbeck:
“We are delighted to work with our founding partner BT to support volunteer run community sports clubs. RDA clubs do brilliant work to enable people with a disability to enjoy horse riding. It was great to visit Greater Manchester RDA and experience this first hand and we are pleased that the support of BT and Join In will enable to help more people to enjoy the sport.”
