The Black Friar is hosting a one night only “Boddies Dinner” on Wednesday 10th June as part of its Summer of Boddies celebration marking the return of Boddington’s Cask to the world’s oldest remaining Boddington’s pub.

The event includes a four-course tasting menu from Chef Ben Chaplin, paired wines, welcome drink, pint of Boddies and cocktail finisher, alongside talks from on the history and Salford roots of Manchester’s iconic beer.

Current Boddington’s dishes on the menu include: Boddington’s glazed short rib with pickled mooli and chilli salad, a Northumberland cheese toastie with Boddington pickle, 8oz aged British beef burger with Boddington’s rare bit and a rosemary Boddington’s polenta cake, served with crème fraiche.

It’s £59pp and could make a fun Father’s Day gift for the food-and-pint-loving dads out there, too.

To book, guests can head to the online reservations form linked here, select 10th June and “Boddies Dinner”
