Williams, the premium automotive retailer in the North West, is offering BMW enthusiasts a once-in-a-lifetime experience through a silent auction now open ahead of the Tim Bacon Foundation – Dream The Impossible fundraising event on 11 September.
As a long-standing partner of Maggie’s Cancer Centres, Williams is honoured to create a money-can’t-buy prize to help raise funds to this vital charity alongside other cancer charities, supported by The Tim Bacon Foundation. The Foundation’s Dream The Impossible event will take place simultaneously across 11 Manchester restaurants, generating funds for Maggie’s alongside seven other local cancer charities helping people to live well with cancer.
Williams’ innovative approach to fundraising has resulted in them donating a prize that combines luxury, innovation, and adventure—crafted for the ultimate BMW fan.
The prize journey begins with a night at the elegant Dakota Hotel Manchester, before the winner is chauffeured in a BMW X7 to Manchester Airport. From there, they will step into the exclusive world of aether, a private terminal and lounge, before being escorted to their flight in a BMW i7—setting the tone for a seamless and stylish departure to Germany.
In Munich, the birthplace of BMW, the winner will enjoy two nights immersed in the city’s culture and automotive heritage. Highlights include guided tours of BMW Welt and the BMW Museum, offering rare insight into the brand’s engineering excellence and design innovation.
The return journey mirrors the luxury of the outbound leg, with a BMW i7 waiting on arrival to escort the guest through aether and on to the Dakota Hotel for a second night, complete with dinner. To extend the experience, Williams will also invite the winner to select a BMW model of their choice for a weekend drive—allowing them to relive the thrill of the journey behind the wheel.
On the evening of 11 September, Williams will host an exclusive takeover of the iconic San Carlo restaurant, treating guests to an evening of exceptional dining and hospitality. The evening will continue at Albert Hall, where more than 1200 supporters from across the city will come together for an unforgettable celebration of fundraising and unity in support of The Tim Bacon Foundation.
Guy Adams, Managing Director of Williams, said:
“We’re proud to support The Tim Bacon Foundation as it raises funds for Maggie’s Cancer Centres—our own nominated charity for which we have already raised over £100,000 for in recent years—as well as other incredible cancer charities. With this prize, we’ve created a chance to live the BMW lifestyle from Manchester to Munich and back again, with every detail taken care of by Williams. It will generate significant funds and deliver an unforgettable experience for the winning bidder!”
Jeremy Roberts, Chair of The Tim Bacon Foundation, said:
“The generosity of Williams and their unique approach to fundraising is truly commendable.. We are hugely grateful for their support and look forward to celebrating with the team on the night as we see who secures this extraordinary prize experience. I’d like to thank all the restaurants taking part in this year’s event, their sponsors and the suppliers and hospitality community who have made Dream the Impossible, possible, once again. Adding to the £1m raised in previous events ”
The silent auction is now live, with bids accepted until 23:59 on the evening of 11 September. All the proceeds will go directly to The Tim Bacon Foundation and their partner charities helping people to live well with cancer.
