On Thursday 1 March (4pm-7pm), Victoria Baths is hosting a Volunteer Open Day, giving people the chance to explore one of Manchester’s most incredible historic buildings and to discover how they can be part of its future.

The Victoria Baths team will be hosting the event, with food and drinks provided, as existing volunteers discuss their experiences of being involved in the fascinating journey of Victoria Baths’ restoration, revealing how their involvement haspositively impacted on their lives. They’ll also give an insight into the many roles which volunteers can play, from sharing historical know how with visitors on Open Days to helping in the office, or with maintenance.

Whether motivated by a love of historic architecture, a passion for swimming, or a desire to help the community, this event is perfect for anyone looking for a way to make a difference and to become a part of the nation’s favourite restoration project.

The Volunteer Open Day also presents an opportunity to explore the grandure of Victoria Baths, one of Manchester’s most splendid buildings, with a quick look around.  News about the events planned for the coming year will also be shared.

There is no need to book a place for Victoria Baths’ Volunteer Open Day.  Doors will open at 4pm and the event will conclude at 7pm.  For further details visit www.victoriabaths.org.uk
