Extra-terrestrial ravers HENGE have released TWO brand new singles from their forthcoming second album.
The tracks – crowd favourites Get Outta Ma House and New Planet – showcase the mix of rave, rock and dance music that makes up the band’s unique interplanetary sound, known as ‘Cosmic Dross’.
This music has proved so popular that HENGE have been credited with ‘reinventing space-rock for the 21st century’ – while also being handed the accolade of Best Live Act at the Independent Festival Awards.
The two new singles are taken from the band’s eagerly-awaited second album Exokosm, out on September 25th.
New Planet sounds like a spaghetti western set in space, serving as a timely reminder of the genius of Ennio Morricone.
Fan favourite Get Outta Ma House, meanwhile, is a gibberish hip-hop banger in the Dadaist style, a reflection of the absurdity of Planet Earth at this point in its history.
Its accompanying music video – also premiering today – is an explosive space adventure written in collaboration with 2000AD comics’ Tom Eglington (Judge Dredd/Outlier) and produced, directed and edited by HENGE. Watch it here.
