Trafford Palazzo has teamed up with Transport for Greater Manchester in an exciting new partnership that makes the UK’s leading experiential destination even more connected and accessible for everyone.
The Metrolink stop previously known as Barton Dock Road has officially been renamed Trafford Palazzo, giving visitors a direct and seamless connection to the region’s go-to destination for retail, leisure, and immersive experiences.

two Trafford Palazzo–wrapped Metrolink trams are launching across the city region, bringing the destination’s bold pink identity to life for all to see. With the Bee Network, visitors can enjoy affordable, frequent, and late-running services every 12 minutes from Deansgate-Castlefield.
Pop-up Celebration Saturday 8 November
To mark the occasion, Trafford Palazzo will host a vibrant celebration on Saturday, 8 November, complete with roaming modern living statues riding the tram from Trafford Palazzo to Deansgate and back.
That’s not all under the iconic dome inside Trafford Palazzo, guests can expect:
A live DJ in a pink-branded booth
Dancing roller-skaters around the fountain
A pink tribute act bringing the party vibes all afternoon
The renaming of the Metrolink stop and the launch of Trafford Palazzo’s branded trams beginTuesday, 28 October, with celebrations running from midday on 8 November.
