An extensive renovation has restored the Georgian property to its former magnificent splendour. Wedding guests approach the stunning property via a mile-long gravel driveway. Upon arrival, imposing double doors open to reveal a magnificent main hall boasting high sculpted ceilings and beautiful antique furniture. Overflowing with romance and housing floor-to-ceiling windows that invite an abundance of natural light into the space, the venue features an extraordinary double staircase ideally positioned for gorgeous wedding photography in the beautiful winter garden.
The fairy-tale building is a true masterpiece guaranteed to have wedding guests falling deeply in love with its rich history. Guests can enjoy a multitude of spaces including an impressive main hall, elegant ballroom, refectory and Gold Room to name a few. For a magical wedding ceremony, the chapel caters for up to 250 guests and houses working bells and an organ. Alternatively couples can choose to say their vows in an outdoor ceremony, in the gardens or next to the beautiful lily pond.
Various beautifu lrooms are available for the all-important wedding breakfast. Then as dusk falls, the twinkling refectory is the perfect setting for an evening reception and caters for up to 250 guests. English heritage colour tones and spectacular artworks adorn the walls of the reception hall, magical ballroom and extravagant dining room. During the summer months, Hawkstone Hall & Gardens offers al-fresco ceremonies within a lavish marquee with a capacity of 700+ guests.
The building’s far-reaching gardens are perfect for exploring Shropshire’s quintessentially British countryside. Within its grounds, the estate boasts a rose garden, croquet lawn, apple orchard, ancient cemetery, forested areas, over half a mile of footpaths and a wonderfully romantic ‘secret garden’. Furthermore, following the discovery of a water supply in the grounds, the original 18th Century lily pond, fishing pond and waterfall have finally been brought back to life allowing the gardens to flourish once more.
For overnight wedding accommodation, the main hallhouses 12 suites – includingthe extravagant Honeymoon Suite – all of which are named after Jane Austen characters. There is also the Grand Bridal Preparation Wing, a custom designed space for exclusive use by the bridal party.
Adjacent to the main building, The Orangery Wing which has also undergone complete renovations, encompasses a further 25 bedrooms. In each room, colour tones mirror that of the main hall featuring soft hues of duck-egg blue and calamine pinks. All of the beautifully appointed bedrooms showcase an in-room cocktail tray, vintage style radio, Nespresso coffee machine, fluffy bathrobes and Elemis toiletries.
