Manchester’s Great Northern Warehouse has teamed up with Dez Rez Projects to showcase a curated display of Manchester’s arts and crafts in the window 285 Deansgate from this week until 9th January.

These functional mid-century inspired interiors products are all for sale and have been handmade by local artists including printmaker Nicola Hood, textile maker Rachel Booth of Its Linear, upcycled furniture designer Pete Kelly, upholsterer, Shula Odell, artists Maddy Venus, ceramicist Kala Walsh and a new lampshade collaboration between artist Nanco x Kitsch Republic.

Nan Collantine from Dez Rez Projects says, “William Morris famously said, ‘Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be beautiful or believe to be useful,”  These products offer style, function and are beautifully made.  Some are completely one off or limited edition and would make a very thoughtful Christmas gift. All of the artists can be contacted for commissions or to see what else they might have on sale.”
