Worker Bee Markets, Stockport’s only local artisan market organiser, presents a summer of quality hand-picked markets for discerning Stockport customers.
Dedicated to providing communities with opportunities to meet and buy from local, friendly artisan makers and support local small business, find Worker Bee Markets in Heald Green, Cheadle on 18 August 10am-3pm and in Marple Bridge on 24 August 10am-2pm.
The regular Heald Green Market is at Nixon’s Farm Shop, the perfect place for young families, whatever the weather. With its varied indoor and outdoor play areas, the Moody Cows Cafe and, of course, the Farm Shop with its freshly butchered meats and farm produce, the Market adds an extra reason to visit. Upto 50 makers and traders will be in the Cow Shed on Sunday 18 August 10am-3pm.
For the August Bank Holiday weekend, Worker Bee Markets are heading to picturesque Marple Bridge, on the edge of the Peak District. Community-focussed Windsor Castle Pub provides the setting for a Pop-Up event with, amongst others, Stockport, Cheshire and Derbyshire makers showcasing their crafts, gifts and fresh produce. The pub will be open and there will be hot streetfood from Wilmslow-based South African BBQ Gavin’s Biltong. The event runs 10am-2pm with live music at the pub later that evening.
Dedicated to supporting local and National charities, St Ann’s Hospice will have a free stall in Heald Green. The Woodland Trust will join the stalls at the pop-up in Marple Bridge.
With September events in North Bramhall and Gatley Village, and Christmas just round the corner, Worker Bee Markets are bringing a new outlook to the idea of artisan.
