Police are searching for the driver of a white Vauxhall Corsa after it failed to stop after hitting a 12 year old girl in Harpurhey yesterday evening
The incident happened on Amos Street around 6.30, the girl was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Inspector Craig Roberts, of GMP’s City of Manchester division, said: “This is a shocking incident in which a driver has collided with a young girl and failed to stop, leaving her injured on the roadside.
“This incident happened in daylight on a residential street, and I am hopeful that there are a number of witnesses who may have dashcam or CCTV footage that can aid our investigation.
“If you were in the area at the time and witnessed this incident, or have seen this car in the area around this time, please do not hesitate to contact police.”
