Eight men have been charged in connection with two shootings in Salford and Wigan back in 2015.

John Kent aged 53 of Culverwell Drive, Salford has been charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and Jacob Harrison aged 25 of Sumberland House, Salford has been charged with conspiracy to murder.

These charges follow the shooting of a 28-year-old Jamie Rothwell at a car wash on Bolton Road in Ashton in Makerfield in March 2015.

Both men have been remanded in custody. They will appear at court this morning.

Christopher Hall aged 49,of HMP Manchester, Aldaire Warmington aged 31 of HMP Hollesley Bay and John Thomasson aged 49 of Wakefield Crescent, Stockport, have been charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Dominic Walton aged 26 of HMP Long Lartin, James Coward aged 22 of HMP Risley and Lincoln Warmington aged 31 of Summerville Road, Salford have been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

These charges follow the shooting of a 30-year-old Jayne Hickey and 7-year-old Christian Hickey on the doorstep of their home in Salford in October 2015.Christian Hickey, was shot in the leg and Jayne Hickeywas shot twice in her legs in the targeted attack at their home.

These six men have been remanded in custody. The men will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ court on Thursday 28 June 2018.
