Tampopo founder David Fox says: “After many years travelling around SE Asia and attending cooking schools from Bali to Bangkok it is great to bring this back to Manchester.  Earlier this year we took all our General Manager’s and Head Chef’s to Bangkok to build on our knowledge of Thai cooking.  The food and from this region is tasty, fresh and delicious and we can teach you how to make these at home.  Our first cookery school includes Thai and Malaysian classics including Rendang, Nasi Goreng and Pad Thai.”

The first cookery schools will be run by Jackie Kearney.  Jackie is an award-winning cookbook author and MasterChef finalist. She has also worked with Tampopo on its menu development over the years.

Jackie says “I’m excited to support Tampopo’s new Cookery School, and teaching people to make their SE Asian and Tampopo favourites at home in their own kitchen. Our action-packed classes include authentic tips and tricks, as well as clever short cuts for making the best of local produce. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning!”
