The DW stadium has undergone a major renovation of its meeting, conference and event suites which has given the popular venue a new look

Home of Wigan Athletic FC and Wigan Warriors RLFC, DW stadium has undergone a major renovation of its meeting, conference and event suites which has given the popular venue a refreshing new look.

Located in the heart of the North West, DW stadium officially reopened its revamped venue spaces to guests on Friday 15th July, after the final touches were completed on Wednesday 13th July.

Following an extensive refurbishment, the popular DW Sports Fitness Lounge, accommodating up to 500 guests, has been transformed into a private venue with an exclusive entrance on the ground floor reserved for guests.

Featuring a state-of-the-art AV system, the refreshed lounge will be perfect for large conferences, celebration events, exhibitions, sporting events and wedding receptions.

Overlooking the pitch on the top floor, the Chairman’s Club has also been renovated into a premium, contemporary room within the stadium, with multiple 75” 4K screens, where guests can hire a space for up to 100 people even on match days!

What’s more, the Phoenix Lounge, which also boasts pitch side views, air-conditioning and a bar has been redecorated, transforming the interior of the large venue as well as adding a full range PA system with a 75” 4K screen.

DW Stadium have also unveiled Whelan’s Bar, a new sports bar renamed in honour of Wigan Athletic’s former owner, Dave Whelan. The bar offers a space for up to 150 guests, with an extensive menu, full range PA system and multiple 50” 4K screens. The bar is open to the public but can also be booked for events.

All suites have had an aesthetic update to make them modern, bright and airy with updated lighting in all areas.

Along with a striking new look, the DW Stadium has introduced an all-new on-site premium dining experience. As well as set menus to choose from, DW Stadium’s Head Chef, Roger Varley, will also create bespoke menus for specific requests.
