Sky Sports is bringing a taste of The Hundred to Manchester later this month with a star-studded experience open to all.

Taking place on Saturday 30 July in Manchester’s Cathedral Gardens from 12-4pm, Sky Sports invites everyone in the city to come down and meet some of the greatest names in the game for a fun-filled afternoon of cricket.

Eoin Morgan, Tammy Beaumont and Manchester Originals stars Calvin Harrison, Wayne Madsen and Ellie Threlkeld will be there giving 1:1 masterclasses whilst you take on the bowling machine. DJ Roesh will be on the decks playing you the freshest new music from Manchester. There will be a chance to meet members of Sky’s cricket team as well as taking a look inside the official home of Sky’s pitch-side commentary, ‘The Hundred Pod’.

All participants will be given the opportunity to win tickets to a game to cheer on Manchester Originals in The Hundred this summer. The tickets are hidden at random within free Sky Sports and team merchandise given away on the day.

The Hundred is a tournament with gender parity, grassroots participation and diversity at its heart. Over 1.6 million viewers tuned in across all platforms last year.

The event is part of a series of events this summer with the aim of bringing the game of cricket to urban areas and reaching new audiences. Sky Sports installed permanent cricket wickets in Lambeth earlier this month as part of the Dynamos Cricket Intros to encourage the local community to get involved for free.

Sky Sports hopes the wicket installation – which is the first of its kind – and the event will inspire children from the local communities and beyond to take up the game of cricket regardless of gender, ability, or background.
