If you want to attend a local quiz, you will be glad to know that the Northern Quarter’s Pen and Pencil hosts the Pencil’s Down quiz every Tuesday.
The quiz is hosted by Quizmodo or John Stansfield. You’ll need to get there by 7:30 pm if you want to partake, with the wildcard category chosen by the losers from the previous week. There are prizes for first and second place, with the action kicking off at 6:00 pm. If Tuesdays don’t work for you, then The Salisbury holds a quiz as well. Their Big Fat Stupid Music Quiz is every Wednesday at 8 pm. It’s free to join, and the prizes vary quite a lot. You can turn up on the day, but it’s best to book ahead by emailing [email protected].
The Marble Arch hosts a Monday night quiz with cash prizes, with the show starting at 7 pm. Lastly, you have the Fab Café. They are a TV and music-themed venue with quizzes taking place at 8:30 pm on Wednesdays. Entry is £1, with cash prizes available over five rounds.
