“Manchester is my heaven…”

Sir Matt Busby was quite simply one of the greatest, most influential managers in world
football history.

During his 25 years in charge of Manchester United, the charismatic leader led the club to total domestic dominance and European glory. Known for his championing of young players, Busby developed football legends including George Best and Bobby Charlton,
one of the original ‘Busby Babes’.

Transforming Manchester United from the second-best team in town into one of the world’s most successful and iconic football clubs, Busby changed the shape of, not just United and the city of Manchester as a whole, but the very game itself.

From Sir Matt’s humble beginnings in a small Scottish mining village to twice rebuilding a
football club first ravaged by war and then by the tragedy of the Munich Air Disaster, BUSBY is the definitive story of the founding father of modern Manchester United, a sporting pioneer whose legacy can be traced right up to the treble-winning Manchester United side of 1999, and beyond.

Directed by Joe Pearlman (BROS: AFTER THE SCREAMING STOPS, MO FARAH: RACE OF
HIS LIFE) the film combines previously unseen archive footage with interviews with those
who knew Busby best including the remaining ‘Busby Babes’ and members of the 1968
European Cup-winning team, the ‘Class of ’92’, and others.

Almost a prequel to the acclaimed CLASS OF ’92, BUSBY is a must-watch for any Manchester United fan and anyone who loves the beautiful game which undeniably would not have been the same without the impact made by Sir Matt Busby.

Busby was produced by Leo Pearlman and co-produced by Heather Greenwood (Senior
Executive) at Fulwell 73, the BAFTA-winning team behind BROS: AFTER THE SCREAMING
STOPS, CLASS OF ’92, I AM BOLT and SUNDERLAND TILL I DIE.
