Guests brought their A Game to Puttstars Rochdale on Thursday 22nd July, as the centre celebrated its first birthday with a VIP event that was a hole other level.

The centre, located in Riverside Walk, was the second of Puttstars’ three UK venues to open, having welcomed guests to its unique indoor mini golf experience since August 2020. Now, with restrictions lifting, Puttstars Rochdale is celebrating a year of immersive entertainment for the people of Rochdale, albeit several hurdles to overcome throughout the year.

Choosing from one of three 9-hole courses, guests at the VIP event had the opportunity to play a game of mini golf, enjoying the fully digitalised scoring system, with high-tech screens at each hole to keep track of points around the course. Guests even had the opportunity to play a ‘Joker’ during their game to double their points and overtake their competitors.

The evening was topped off with the arrival of a putterly amazing cake, looking exactly like the centre’s Roulette hole, which went down a treat. All swings considered, it was a night to remember to celebrate Puttstars Rochdale’s first birthday.

Delicious food and tasty refreshments were also savoured during the night, ranging from pizzas and hotdogs to creamy shakes and ‘Tails’ cocktails, all available from the centre’s bar and diner. In addition to mini golf, guests also got to spend time in the centre’s impressive amusement area. From coin pusher machines to the latest racing games, the wide selection of all-time favourites kept the competition and fun going throughout the night.

Jenny Hares, Centre Manager at Puttstars Rochdale, said, “At Puttstars, we are all about bringing friends and families together. And just as the restrictions have lifted, we are absolutely thrilled to have been hosting a VIP night on the occasion of our first ever birthday celebrations. We can’t wait to welcome more customers for amazing games of mini golf, getting the excitement and fun going throughout the summer!”

Although restrictions and governmental guidelines have lifted, Puttstars continues to put the health and safety of its customers at the very front of its priorities with its Have Fun, Play Safe messaging. Team members at the centre continue to wear face coverings for customer comfort, with guests encouraged to respect other customers who decide to continue wearing them.

Guests can now book their visit on the Puttstars website.
