Following on from the huge success of the summer pop up markets, with more than 6000 visitors over four afternoons, Urmston’s first Food and Drink pop up market will take place on Saturday 26th September.

In association with the Manchester Food and Drink Festival, this one-day-only pop-up market will be hosted on the M41 site on Railway Road, from 10:00 until 18:00.

With approximately 15-20 local food and drink traders involved, including a selection of retail stalls and a number of licensed vintage mobile bars as well as two Italian Piaggio Apes serving coffee and Prosecco, anticipation for the foodie event is mounting, with 2000 visitors expected to attend.

There will also be up to 10 non-food stalls at the event too, including flowers crafts and home décor.

Urmston is renowned for its independent food and drinks scene, offering a diverse mix of restaurants, cafes and coffee shops, bars and pubs offering multi-cultural cuisine, fine wines, premium gin and real ale.

The pop-up market on 26th September will showcase the very best of Urmston’s food and drink scene, and is one of only a few fringe events linked to the Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

“We had a phenomenal response to the pop up markets throughout August and the demand for more remains as strong as ever, from both traders and the general public.

We’re delighted to be hosting our first Food and Drink pop up market in association with the Manchester Food and Drinks Festival; it’s a great platform to shout about and showcase the fantastic food and drink outlets in Urmston and the locality.”

The market, which has been organised by Love Urmston, Urmston Partnership and M41, will be fully COVID-compliant with social distancing measures in place, ensuring all visitors can enjoy a bite to eat and drink safely.
