Urban Splash has launched homes for sale at Irwell Riverside as part of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, with a customer launch event planned for Thursday 21st July.

Help to Buy is a Government initiative via which, the Government lends buyers up to 20% of the cost of a new-build home free of charge, meaning they need just 5% cash deposit and a 75% mortgage to make up the rest.

Help to Buy’s arrival at Irwell Riverside is being marked by an event which will be attended by a number of Urban Splash advisors including an IFA who be able to provide an illustration of mortgage payments on Help to Buy – which are often lower than expected rent on the same property.

Urban Splash director of residential sales Guy Ackernley said: “There’s a great appetite for these hoUSes and I’m delighted that the addition of Help to Buy at Irwell Riverside opens the concept up to more prospective buyers.

“Our event on 21st July is intended to give customers the chance to hear more, not only about hoUSe, but what a fantastic scheme Help to Buy is and how affordable home ownership can be”.

The arrival of Help to Buy dovetails with the news that work on site is now underway; this is the second development in the UK comprising hoUSe, the innovative Urban Splash and shedkm designed homes which provide a refreshing new approach where homes are 25% larger than the average new-build.

The proposition sees buyers select a base model and then configure their home to a bespoke specification, selecting their preference for layout, floor finishes, additional rooms and a whole spectrum of other designs. At Irwell Riversides, homes come as either 1,000 sq ft spread over two floors or 1,500 sq ft over three floors, meaning the development is likely to attract a varied demographic, although families looking for more space, yet without compromising on location or quality, are a key target market.

Urban Splash wanted to provide a solution for buyers who were looing for extra space but loved city-living and didn’t want to relocate to the suburbs, hence why it chosen Irwell Riverside for its second site for hoUSe. Based on the waterfront just off Trinity Way, it is close to Manchester city centre with its offices, shops, nightlife and major transport hubs at Victoria and Salford Central within easy reach.

Added Guy: “It’s so exciting to see work underway at Irwell Riverside, and the delivery of 172 new homes becoming reality. These hoUSes are the answer for those families who love city living and are looking for an affordable, urban housing option.”

All hoUSes at Irwell Riverside come with parking and a garden and prices start at £260,000. Interested customers can find out more about the 21st July event by emailing house@urbansplash.co.uk or calling 0161 850 0768.
