When the initial date of 7th November went on sale, tickets sold out in 48 hours! So although this move to later in the year is frustrating it does mean we can add a matinee performance so those that missed out first time round can now come and have A Lovely Time!

Due to the second lockdown, A Lovely Time is a brand new comedy event now launching in Manchester at GRUB’s Red Bank on Saturday 12th December 2020.

Through its pioneering street food events, GRUB has built up a name for itself as the place to go for food and drink with a difference, whilst picking up numerous awards along the way.

Now situated in Manchester’s thriving Green Quarter they finally have the space to realise their exciting ambitions at The Red Bank Project. A Lovely Time is one of many new events coming to GRUB so keep an eye out for future goings-on at what is sure to become Manchester’s go-to venue for live events.

A Lovely Time will be taking place in GRUB’s new, COVID-secure venue space.

Hosted by Amy Gledhill (BBC3, C4’s Harry Hill’s Clubnite and Edinburgh comedy award-nominated double act The Delightful Sausage) and looks to bring the most exciting comedians in the UK to Manchester’s achingly cool Green Quarter.

“They say that the most important thing in comedy is timing, so what’s more hilarious than launching a brand new comedy show in the midst of a global pandemic?”

(Amy Gledhill)

For the debut show, Gledhill is joined by an all-star cast headlined by Chris Washington (Live at the BBC, Radio X, “A timeless storytelling jokesmith” – Beyond The Joke) with support from rising stand-up icon Jonny Pelham (Live at the Apollo – BBC One, Brad Boyz – Channel 4) and Manchester’s very own comedy legend in the making, Jain Edwards (BBC3, Channel 4, Quippodrome).

This is the first show from new production duo John Stansfield and Chris Cantrill, two very tired dads who have lots more exciting things planned for A Lovely Time productions.
