Organisers expect five hundred people to attend the UK’s largest bowling tournament at Stockport’s Navigation Hotel, Hyde Road, this weekend on Sunday 12th July.
The generous organisers and sponsors of the Open Crown Green tournament have helped raise £1,290 for Tackle, further enabling us to support patients and families affected by prostate cancer with support groups, testing days and campaigning.
The crown green bowling club has been established for over 30 years catering for children, women and men. They currently have 12 teams competing in various leagues and the competition prize for this tournament if £5,000!
Organizers kindly decided to raise money for Tackle to help people, like their friends, who are suffering with cancer.
The event is sponsored by Robinsons Brewery, Zipp Design and Print and many more local companies on the schedule. A £1 entry fee is charged.
